First Pick is a format, not a company. One HTML file, no server, no account, no fee. A farm downloads it, edits one block of plain text at the bottom — varieties, weights, prices, photos, contact — and publishes it anywhere: a website, a QR code on the barn, an attachment in an email to a buyer.
Nobody takes a cut. Every order on every copy of this sheet goes directly to the grower who published it. There is no intermediary in the transaction and no intention of becoming one.
If it makes a farm money and they want to keep the lights on for the next one, they can chip in for hosting. That is the whole business model.
Wholesale runs off this sheet. The retail market is worth the drive on its own — a working barn with a hundred SKUs, a popcorn machine and a full Halloween build every fall.
Everything above is this week's picking. The better arrangement is the one made in February. Tell the farm what you need and when, and they plant to your order — guaranteed volume at a locked price, harvested to your window instead of whatever happened to ripen. The grower gets a committed buyer before spending a dollar on seed.
